While at my parents' beach cabin
in the San Juan Islands this weekend
I was lucky enough to spy
a hummingbird nest.
It was tucked away
about chest-height
in a bush.
I took these pictures with my camera phone.
Not the best quality - but you get the idea.
So tiny.
Don't the little eggs look
like tic-tacs?
I love how something so small
can be such a powerful reminder
of how much wonder
is all around us.
If we slow down enough to see it!
